Why Are Methadone Clinics Privately Owned?

While it is admirable for someone to venture out on their own and start a business, it is questionable when that business is a methadone clinic. Methadone, the powerful drug that replaces heroin and is supposed to allow addicts to live their life without the burden of a heroin addiction, may not be the miracle drug hoped for. In fact, more people are dying from Methadone than any other drug replacement therapy available to addicts.

Interestingly, when a person is prescribed Methadone they often do not get off of it. This is due to the abnormally painful and drawn-out withdrawal symptoms experienced when Methadone is stopped. While Methadone was never meant to be a permanent solution to heroin abuse, some wonder if the business side of Methadone clinics is getting in the way of the health of the patients. Because in the end, it is just smart business to keep as many people on Methadone as possible.

Methadone either replaces one addiction for another or adds one addiction to another. This is not the only treatment option for a heroin addiction. Long term treatment centers can be used by heroin addicts where they are given the opportunity to live their life without any drug.

Before committing yourself to a lifelong dependence on Methadone, reserach all the options so you can enroll in an effective heroin rehab. Remember, the few months it takes to complete drug rehab, is a small amount of time compared to a lifetime of Methadone maintenance.

Lies and Manipulation – The Fallout From Heroin Abuse

Filed under: Media Reports — Tags: — admin @ 2:47 pm

Most people are familiar with the devastating effects of heroin abuse. It is well known heroin is a lethal drug that has the power to take someone’s life in a second. However, what some people do not understand is there are definite signs that a heroin abuse problem exists; signs that are apparent well before the addict reaches the point where they cannot stop.

The two most common indicators a heroin addict will display are lying and manipulation. Because heroin is so addictive and consumes a person’s every thought, they lie to their loved ones to cover up what they are really doing. These lies become bigger and bigger as more time elapses until the person is eventually lying about everything and can no longer tell truth from lies.

Additionally, manipulation is used as an addict’s last, desperate attempt to get what they want. Because of their all-consuming drive to use more and more heroin, they will stop at nothing. Suspected or accused of addiction, finding themselves backed into a corner, they will cry, bargain, beg, plead and make promises of good behavior. When the pressure subsides, or as soon as they get what they want, the addict will revert back to their former ways, continuing their lies and manipulation and enabling the heroin abuse to remain unhandled.

If you or anyone you know exhibits these traits, check for a heroin abuse problem. Insist on effective drug testing to bring the addiction into the open. Follow up with long-term rehabilitation.

Huge Heroin Bust In Chicago

A $10,000.00 a day heroin business was taken down this week in Chicago. Authorities found almost 17 pounds of heroin in a drive shaft in a black Jeep Cherokee. Additionally, this is the same car, and the same owner who, a few weeks ago, was found with $250,000.00 floating in the gas tank.

This bust will eliminate a huge market for heroin abuse in the city. But what happens when they get the new shipment in? What happens when a new dealer comes onto the block with a better connection? The flow of heroin may be plugged today, but it won’t last.

The only real way to stop this billion dollar a year business is to eliminate the demand. If we handled the addicts there would be no one buying the heroin in the first place. The only real way to handle a heroin addiction is to enroll in an effective drug rehab. This will allow the addiction to get permanently handled, without the constant need for drugs. Heroin abuse does not have to continue.

What Exactly Is Heroin Withdrawal?

Many people have heard of heroin withdrawal. They have heard of how terrified addicts are of going without heroin, but most people do not know exactly what heroin withdrawal is.

Heroin withdrawal occurs when a person who is addicted to the drug does not have immediate access to heroin. This can occur a few hours or 24 hours from the last use.

When a person is going through heroin withdrawals they will experience the following; nausea, vomiting, body aches, muscle cramps, hot and cold sweats, insomnia, depression, anxiety, irritability, severe cravings and diareah.

Withdrawal symptoms prevent a heroin addict from ever getting away from the drug. They eventually end up getting so scared of the withdrawal symptoms that they refuse to ever “kick” the habit.

The only real way to handle a heroin addiction is to enroll in a long-term, drug and alcohol rehab. One such rehab that is considered a leader in rehabilitation, is Narconon Louisiana.

If you or anyone you know is in need of help for drug abuse problem please call Narconon Louisiana at 866-422-4650 for more information.

Heroin Addicts Reach A New Level Of Desperation

You cannot make stories like this up – heroin addicts in some parts of the world are injecting each other blood in an attempt to avoid withdrawal symptoms. While most people would find this shocking, it does illustrate the mindset of a heroin addict.

Heroin addicts will do anything to avoid the painful withdrawal symptoms that heroin is so infamous for. Withdrawal symptoms include; vomiting, insomnia, body aches, cramps, headaches, chills, hot and cold sweats, anxiety, depression and severe cravings.

Not only is this almost a fool-proof method of contracting HIV, it is something that can be avoided with effective drug rehab. Heroin addicts need to enroll in rehabs like Narconon Louisiana, which has a 76% success rate for permanent recovery.

Narconon Louisiana does not subscribe to the idea that addiction is a disease. Instaed clients work one on one with a counselor to figure out what problems drugs and alcohol were a solution for in the first place. Once that problem is isolated and handled clients no longer feel the need to resort to drugs like heroin, as a method of getting through life.

If you or anyone you know is in need of help for a heroin addiction please call Narconon Louisiana at 866-422-4650 for more information. Help is available.

Chicago Leads The Nation In Heroin Addiction

Most people would assume that New York or L.A. has the worst heroin problem in the nation, however, Chicago has taken the unfortunate prize in that race. The city’s hospitals reported the most heroin related E.R. visits than any other city in the United States and things seem to be getting worse. Why is it that we cannot handle the heroin addiction in our country? Why is it that despite all the effort by law enforcement and all the precautionary efforts made by parents that children are becoming addicted to this lethal drug?

Heroin is one of the most dangerous drugs on the market. It only takes one time, one batch that is purer than usual, to kill someone. The only real way to handle this problem is to enroll in a long term, drug and alcohol rehab center. One such center is Narconon Louisiana. Located just outside of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, this drug rehab does not subscribe to the idea that addiction is a disease. Instead, clients work one on one with a counselor to figure out what problems drugs like heroin are a solution for in the first place. Once that problem is isolated and handled, clients no longer feel compelled to continually abuse this drug.

The only wrong thing to do is nothing at all. Don’t let heroin kill you or someone you love. Call Narconon Louisiana at 866-422-4650 if you or someone you know is in need of help for a substance abuse problem. Help is available.

One reason is probably because not enough parents are enrolling their children in a drug rehab to handle their heroin addiction.

The only real way to combat this terrifying and deadly addiction is to get someone in a long-term, inpatient facility. One such rehab is Narconon Louisiana. They have been handling heroin addicts for over four years and maintain a 76% success rate for permanent recovery.

Car Bombings, Terrorist Attacks and Heroin Abuse

While most families who have a loved one in Afghanastan are fearful that they will be killed in the line of duty, some families are starting to wonder if an even bigger fear is that their loved one will come back home with a heroin addiction or even overdose from the drug that is so popular in Aghanastan. Fears may be more heightened now, after an Australian soldier was found to have overdosed from a large amount of strong heroin.

While the army has started drug testing it’s men, there is no denying that they are stationed in the heroin mecca of the world and that some do succomb to temptations.

The only real way to handle a heroin abuse problem is to enroll in a drug rehab that will address the underlying reasons for addiction in the first place. If you or anyone you know is in need of help for a substance abuse problem please call 866-422-4650 for immediate help.

While waiting for the school bus on Wednesday morning a first grade boy found what he thought to be candy. It was, in fact, heroin – $1,400 worth of heroin. Officials believe that the heroin was placed there by a drug dealer to be picked up by another drug dealer. The spot was merely  a “drop spot”.

Heroin abuse is extremely dangerous and needs to be handled right away. Although these children didn’t ingest any of the heroin, the outcome could have gone down a real dangerous road.

One rehab, Narconon Louisiana has been helping handle heroin addictions for over four years and maintains a 76% success rate for permanent recovery. Instead, clients work one on one with a counselor to figure out what problem drugs and alcohol were a solution for. Once that problem is isolated and handled they no longer have to resort to drugs as a method of dealing with life.

If you or anyone you know is in need of help for a heroin abuse problem please call Narconon Louisiana at 866-422-4650 for more information. Help is available.
